Orbit Homes seeks further land opportunities to continue its drive to deliver more affordable homes
We are continuing our drive to deliver more affordable homes, seeking new land opportunities.
Over the past nine months, we have acquired nine new developments delivering over 700 new homes, of which 86% are affordable and is looking to expand its development pipeline further in 2024.
Helen Moore, Group Director at Orbit Homes, explains: “At Orbit Homes we are passionate about providing people with affordable, safe, well-designed and energy efficient homes, that are future-ready and will genuinely meet the needs of our customers.
“Maintaining investment in our development pipeline will ensure we can continue to help to meet this need in the long-term whether that’s providing homes for social rent, shared ownership or market sale. We understand that new development needs to be balanced with our investment in older properties and in bringing forward regeneration of our existing estates where appropriate, but only by building new, thoughtfully designed, tenure-blind developments can we unlock the meaningful increase in affordable homes that is so desperately needed in this housing crises.
“We are committed to delivering new homes across all tenures, which is why we are seeking new land in the Midlands, East and South, that can support our plans. We have the funds available and would invite anyone who is interested in working with us to get in touch with our experienced land teams. We are well versed in delivering land with outline consent as well as working in partnerships with Local Authorities, landowners, developers and contractors. Our teams work at pace and we are flexible in how our homes are delivered.”
We are currently building thriving new communities throughout the Midlands, East and South of England. We offer a mixture of purchasing options, including market sale and shared ownership, with each direct build development taking a tenure-blind approach.
Our new range of sector-leading house designs are also matched against the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accident’s (RoSPA) Safer by Design framework and features its all-inclusive design specification to ensure every customer receives the same commitment to sector leading design, specification, and safety, coupled with outstanding customer service.
Part of the Orbit Group, Orbit Homes shares a socially driven, commercially minded ethos, working with social enterprises to derive even greater benefit from our investment and reinvesting our profits to improve the quality of our homes, our services, and our communities.
