Orbit Homes gets into the World Cup spirit with football fundraiser that’s scored £2500 for charitable causes
Orbit Homes kicked off the launch of a new charitable fund with a fundraising five-a-side football tournament held in Norwich at The Nest.
A lineup of Orbit Homes colleagues joined teams from a variety of Orbit’s partners in taking to the pitch as part of a charity football tournament that has helped raise £2500.
Orbit Homes will now use the funds raised to make donations to charitable causes across its local communities.
A total of 10 teams were involved on the day, with construction consultancy business, RUA, crowned tournament champions.
Ray Winney, National Build Director at Orbit Homes, said: “At Orbit Homes, we not only deliver more much-needed, quality affordable housing, but do so whilst making a positive difference in our local communities. This fundraising football tournament is a lovely tradition of ours and a wonderful way for us to bring our colleagues and partners together in support of our clear social purpose and ambition to make the biggest positive impact we can locally.
“We’re very grateful to our partners for their support with this event, which has helped us raise funds that we will now start to donate to charitable causes across our communities.”
