Shared Ownership opens the door to a new future for Kayleigh and her son at Hanwood Park
The route into home ownership is not always straightforward or a quick journey but as Kayleigh knows, it’s definitely worth the wait.
She and her son had moved from a very small flat in London to live with her parents in the East Midlands and they loved the area so much they didn’t want to go back: “The plan was to stay with family and save up to eventually find a place of our own, which we have finally achieved!”
Kayleigh had been saving hard for a deposit, and her family helped her reach her goal, so she was finally ready to start looking for a new home. This resulted in Kayleigh discovering The Fern, a two-bedroom house with a contemporary open plan layout. “The layout and the size of the home was perfect for what me and my son needed.”

They moved into their new home in January and couldn’t be happier: “It’s exactly the type of home me and my son have been hoping for, for a very long time.”
