Out with the old and in with the new at Micklewell Park, Daventry
Meet John and Fiona, who are settling into their new home at our popular Micklewell Park development in Daventry.
The couple are no strangers to home ownership, but they realised it was time to move on from their previous home, which felt very dated as it was built in 1970 and as John tells us: “It was a choice of either spending a lot of money to update it or bite the bullet and start afresh.”
Living in Daventry they had driven past Micklewell Park many times and it was one of the first developments they visited when they decided to move.
They had a wish list for their new home: “We wanted clean, modern lines and a rear kitchen diner with direct access to the garden, and with its spacious design that is exactly what The Tayberry house type offered us. Plus, the development layout was really appealing, with a lot of thought given to spacing the properties respectfully.”
Buying a new home can be a stressful process and even more so if you also have a house to sell, and the couple unfortunately encountered delays when selling their home. “The support from both Emily and Jayne in the Orbit sales team was second to none. They went above and beyond with their understanding, patience, and negotiation skills to help as much as they could.”
John and Fiona moved into their new home earlier this year and have spent the summer settling in. “We love the view from the front elevation, the kitchen diner, and the ease of access to the garden and our friends and family are very impressed with both the house design and the location.”
They have experienced some teething issues since moving in, but John tells us: “What has stood out is the professional manner of the site management when dealing with this.”
Micklewell Park is more than a housing development, it’s a fully integrated neighbourhood that promotes wellbeing, connection to nature, and community engagement, and John agrees: “We feel the sense of community at Micklewell Park that is already beginning to take shape.”
Residents at Micklewell Park can enjoy the services of the recently opened community hub on site, which is a welcoming space where residents can access free advice and support on a wide range of topics, and a function room which can be used for coffee mornings and events.
We welcome John and Fiona to this new community and wish them many happy years at Micklewell Park.
We have now launched the next exciting phase of homes which will include a selection of 2, 3, 4 & 5-bedroom houses and 2-bedroom bungalows. Discover more about the new homes available at Micklewell Park on our website HERE
