Orbit Homes Site Manager wins coveted NHBC Regional Award for exceptional standards at Micklewell Park development
Orbit Homes Senior Site Manager, Andy Leonard, has been crowned a Regional Award winner by the National House Building Council (NHBC) in its prestigious ‘Pride in the Job’ awards in recognition of his work at Orbit Homes’ Micklewell Park in Daventry.
The annual awards organised by the NHBC, the UK’s largest provider of new home warranties and insurance, recognise exceptional standards in housebuilding and are widely regarded as one of the industry’s top honours.
Pride in the Job celebrates site managers’ dedication and expertise in raising standards in housebuilding. Judging is rigorous, with assessments focusing on consistency, attention to detail, leadership, technical expertise, and health and safety.
In recognition of his exceptional leadership and unwavering commitment to quality at Orbit Homes’ Micklewell Park in Daventry, Andy Leonard has earned the Regional Award in the Medium Builder category for the NHBC’s Central region, as well as a Seal of Excellence award.
As a regional winner, Andy will now be considered for the top national award, the Pride in the Job Supreme Award, which will be announced in January 2026.
Award winner Andy Leonard said: “I’m truly honoured to receive this Pride in the Job regional award from the NHBC. Winning this award is recognition of the hard work and dedication our entire team puts into every home we build at Micklewell Park. I’m absolutely delighted to see the team’s attention to detail and pride in our work celebrated.”
Tim Harrison, Construction Director for Orbit Homes in the Midlands, commented: “We are extremely proud of Andy and the whole team for their work at Micklewell Park and we’re delighted to see this recognised by the NHBC. This award reflects the commitment that Andy and the team show every single day to building good quality, safe homes that our customers are proud to live in.”
Toby Phillips, NHBC Regional Director for the Central region, said: “Congratulations to Andy on his regional award. He has demonstrated the dedication, passion and leadership skills necessary to deliver new homes to exacting construction quality standards at Micklewell Park.
“Thousands of outstanding site managers have made their mark on the industry in the 45 years Pride in the Job has been running. This continued focus on excellence is vital to support the Government’s 1.5 million new homes target and to ensure that all housing is built to the quality owners and occupiers should expect.”
