Hastings Foodbank has received a festive boost from Orbit Homes, after colleagues donated a range of essentials and Christmas treats to the charity’s collection.

Orbit Homes colleagues in the South came together to collect a variety of long-lasting and non-perishable food items for the foodbank, as well as Christmas treats including mince pies and chocolates.

Hastings Foodbank provide emergency food and support to local people facing crisis and are part of a nationwide network of foodbanks supported by The Trussell Trust.

Andy Georgiou, Sales and Marketing Director at Orbit Homes, said: “At Orbit Homes we are committed to making a positive impact in our local communities and our colleagues recognise how important organisations like Hastings Foodbank are to the local area. We hope that our donations help the foodbank support those in need around the district with not only the essentials, but also some festive favourites and treats this Christmas.”

Cheryl Carey, Manager of Hastings Foodbank, added: “We work to provide emergency food, compassion and support to local people facing hardship, and this service isn’t possible without the help and kind donations of those in our community. We are very grateful to Orbit Homes colleagues for their donations, which will help us share both the essentials and some special Christmas treats to those in need over the festive period.”
