Orbit Homes donate outdoor play shelter to Stratford-upon-Avon primary school

Orbit Homes has donated an outdoor play shelter to Bridgetown Primary School in Stratford-upon-Avon.

The play shelter will be used by Key Stage 1 children who are part of the school's Nurture Group called The Aviary.

The Aviary, which is set up like a home with a living room, kitchen, and dining area, offers a safe and familiar environment for children who need extra support with their development.

The new shelter has been added to the group's outdoor play area which features a potted garden so that the children can enjoy the outdoors all year round.

Sally Newman is the Nurture Lead at The Aviary and together with Nurture Assistant Mrs Pettifor, they look after the children for a couple of hours every day, organising group activities and offering 1:1 sessions once a week.

Sally said: “We can’t thank Orbit Homes enough for their generous donation of the outdoor play shelter to Bridgetown School Nurture space. We work very closely with children who may need more help socially and emotionally and one of the ways to help these children is through role play. The outdoor play shelter is the perfect space to encourage role play and will enable us to be in outside in all weathers.

Colin Dean, Midlands Sales and Marketing Director at Orbit Homes, added: “At Orbit Homes we aim to make a positive impact in the communities where we live and work, which is why we were so pleased to donate the outdoor play shelter and contribute to the wellbeing of the children at Bridgetown Primary School.
