Orbit Homes celebrates World Book Day with donation of mental health and wellbeing themed books to Coventry primary school

Pupils at Whoberley Hall Primary School in Coventry can turn a new page this World Book Day, thanks to a donation of mental health and wellbeing themed books from Orbit Homes.

Colleagues from Orbit Homes visited Whoberley Hall Primary with a bundle of new books to show its support for the primary school this World Book Day.

Celebrated in the UK every year in March, World Book Day inspires children and young people to enjoy the life-changing benefits of reading, and Orbit Homes picked out books to support KS1 and KS2 pupils with their understanding of feelings and growing up, as well as activity books to help pupils stay calm and relaxed. 

Emily Kemp, Marketing Manager for Orbit Homes in the Midlands, said: “At Orbit Homes we’re committed to making a positive impact in the local communities in which we build and we’re delighted to show our support for World Book Day this year with a donation to Whoberley Hall Primary School. Reading is a crucial part of young people’s education and development, and we’re very proud to donate books that can support the children with their reading and also encourage them to learn about helpful techniques for taking care of their mental health and wellbeing.”

Sally Mills, Year 3 Teacher at Whoberley Hall Primary School, added: “We’re committed to equipping our pupils with the understanding they need to take good care of their mental health and wellbeing and this donation from Orbit Homes gives us some more useful resources to share with the students. These books will help give the children confidence in expressing their emotions and feelings, and will support them in developing good habits for managing their mental health and wellbeing. We’d like to thank Orbit Homes for their donation this World Book Day.”

Orbit Homes purchased the book bundles from Team Reid Reads, an independent bookseller for Usborne.
