Orbit Homes backs Northamptonshire campaigner’s Easter egg drive with chocolate-filled donations

Orbit Homes has donated over 100 Easter eggs for children across Northamptonshire in support of an Easter campaign by local resident, Jeanette Walsh.

Easter eggs of all sizes were donated by colleagues from Orbit Homes for Jeanette to distribute to social services teams across the county, including the Leaving Care and Special Guardianship teams.

Jeanette, who is well-known locally for organising a festive gift appeal for the county’s most vulnerable children as ‘Mother Christmas’, also leads an Easter drive that will this year donate thousands of chocolatey treats across Northamptonshire.

Brian Nearney, Chief Development Officer at Orbit, said: “As a housebuilder with a deeply rooted social purpose we’re committed to making a positive impact in our local communities. Our team were very excited to hear about Jeanette’s campaign and wanted to show their support. We hope this donation will help the county’s social services teams spread some treats to the children and families they’ll be supporting this Easter.”

Jeannete Walsh, Northamptonshire’s Easter Bunny and Mother Christmas, added: “The support I’ve received for this year’s Easter Egg drive really means a lot, it’s a chance for us to come together and help children across the county enjoy a special treat and not feel left out. I am very grateful to Orbit Homes for the kind donation which adds to the thousands of easter eggs that we’ll be sharing across Northamptonshire this Easter.”

Easter eggs can be donated at collections points located in the Corby Cube, Wellingborough Tithe Barn offices and Bowling Green Road, Kettering, Nando’s outlets in Kettering, Northampton and Rushden Lakes, and Hays Travel in Kettering and Aspire Travel in Thrapston.
