Orbit Homes has kicked off its sponsorship of Aylesford Football Club, the club in Kent with over 50 teams for boys, girls, men, women and older adults.

Aylesford Football Club was formed in 1970 and now counts over 900 members and over 400 players. Across its teams, the club embrace football as a way for those of all ages to meet new people and have fun, as well as improve their physical and mental wellbeing.

The football club is based near two developments where Orbit Homes are currently delivering new homes for Shared Ownership and affordable rent, Hermitage Park in Aylesford and Orchard Mill in Ditton.

Brian Nearney, Chief Development Officer at Orbit, said: “We’re committed to making a positive impact in the local communities in which we build and we’re delighted to sponsor Aylesford Football Club this season. Sport is a brilliant way to encourage people to stay active and healthy and we’re proud to show our support for a local grassroots club that has football teams and activities for children and adults of all ages.”

James Fuller, Chairman of Aylesford Football Club, added: “Our club offers children and adults the opportunity to have fun playing football in friendly and competitive settings, and the support of local businesses allows us to continue to inspire and encourage local people through sport. We’re delighted to welcome Orbit Homes as sponsors this season and are very grateful for their support.”
