In September 2020, Joey (25) did something he previously never thought was possible for someone of his age – he moved into a brand-new home and had a front door to call his own!

Thanks to the Shared Ownership scheme, which allows buyers to part-buy and part-rent their own home, Joey now has a place to call his own. He had previously lived with his parents in Cannock, but after saving enough for a deposit, he began looking at properties in and around Lichfield. 

After researching local developments, Joey chose a three-bedroom house at Roman Heights, located in the sought-after village of Streethay, which is situated amongst open countryside and is just two miles away from the lively city of Lichfield, with all its amenities.

As a first-time buyer, having a good relationship with Orbit’s sales team to guide him through the process was hugely beneficial to Joey. The team provided support throughout, including recommendations for a mortgage advisor and solicitor.

The sales team were also happy to answer any questions or queries Joey had along the way, showing Orbit’s commitment to delivering the best service for its customers.
