St Anne's Quarter - A safe haven to enjoy retirement
St Anne's Quarter is a bustling riverside complex, with a number of attractive communal terraces and gardens to enjoy.
The fantastic waterfront location and close distance to Norwich city centre provides the ideal location for those who want to relax and enjoy their retirement.
Joan moved into her new Orbit home in May this year. Having previously lived in Somerset where she worked for the NHS, Joan decided to re-locate to Norwich to be closer to her family. After looking at properties in and around Norwich, Joan chose to purchase a one-bedroom apartment at Orbit’s new St Anne’s Quarter.
Here, Joan Gaskin, 86, talks about her fantastic Orbit experience when purchasing her stylish new studio apartment.
Joan said: “I chose the St Anne’s development because of its lovely riverside location and close distance to Norwich town centre. After moving from Somerset and living in Norwich with my son for a few months, buying this new apartment - I feel like I’ve finally got my independence back!
“The Sales team at St Anne’s were incredibly helpful and polite from start to finish. The whole process was very speedy, and I received regular updates on progress. I felt very reassured and supported. I would highly recommend Orbit to anyone who is thinking of purchasing their next home. The quality of the apartment is extremely high, and the whole development feels very safe.”
Ideally located close to restaurants, shops and other local amenities
The St Anne’s development is in a much sought-after area of Norwich and is ideally located close to restaurants, shops and other local amenities, making it easy for Joan to get out and about, and its proximity to public transport links makes it easy for her family to visit.
The vibrant city of Norwich is renowned for its wealth of history and culture. As well as 1500 historical buildings, including two cathedrals and a castle, there are also plenty of parks and green open spaces to enjoy.
Safety is paramount at St Anne’s and the complex can only be accessed with a key fob. Each home-owner also has a further key fob to get into their individual apartment, which was a big selling point for Joan, as she wanted her new home to feel secure.
The St Anne’s Quarter development is ideal for, but is not exclusive to, those looking for a place to settle after retirement. One of the benefits of St Anne’s is that there is a mix of young professionals, couples and the over 55s living in the same development, which all helps to build and create a thriving community.
