Out & About
The town has been a centre for the brewing industry since the 11th Century and today offers a lively programme of events throughout the year in honour of its history, including the Annual Beer and Cider Festival and the Burton Real Ale and Jazz Festival.
There are regular services to major towns and cities including Cheltenham, Gloucester and Cardiff to the South and Sheffield, Leeds, York, Newcastle and Edinburgh to the North. Via the A38, Derby is around 12 miles to the North and the M6 and M6 Toll are easily accessible travelling south. Junction 11 of the M42 is around 11 miles away and Junction 23A of the M1 is less that 20 miles allowing for travel throughout the Midlands and beyond.
